Inspiration Behind the Song

Interestingly, this simple, feel good, toe tapping little ditty originated from my idea of writing a love song for a good friend of mine who is a talented singer. The story was initially centered around a more traditional ballad that explored their life and love for each other, with the twist of her singing career. It turned out that their street name made a perfect hook. So, in true Linda style, I scrapped that idea and wrote this fun song about Texas men that has absolutely nothing to do with their love story.

How did I transition from a love song to this hit?

The short story is my girlfriend's husband is a very handsome cowboy, and it was a fun write that I knew my girlfriend would love.This is just how my writings go sometimes...
