"I believe that If I've written a good song,
You can visualize the story,
And if you can visualize it,
you will feel it"

LINDA DEE WALL
I’m a country songwriter, author, and independent publisher based in Georgia.
I write songs the same way I live life – straight from the hip, every song is a real story, with real people, and real moments.
Most of my songs start in a notebook, or the notes app on my phone. Just words first.
No production. No filters. Just something that happened, something someone said, or a story I just couldn’t forget.
Later, those ideas become full songs through demos that I use to share the story with artists, producers and a whole bunch of my friends who love what I write.
I own and operate Dirt Road Country Publishing, where I manage my catalog and handle licensing for my original work.
I’m a firm believer that when the right artist hears a song- they just know
“HEY- That song was written for me”.
And when that happens its absolutely flawless. They feel the words and it shows in the production.
I’m also the author of After You Write the Song, a straightforward absolutely basic bare bones guide for songwriters who want to understand what comes next protecting their work, registering songs, and learning the basic business side of songwriting. (I stress basic- because I nor anyone I know can possibly keep up with the ever-changing music industry) I wrote it because I learned some of those lessons the hard way, and my mother a talented singer songwriter before me learned the hard way too.
I wanted to make it easier for others to avoid common pitfalls of the business end of songwriting.
At the core of what I do is the belief that by writing True stories creates Timeless relatable songs.
And that is the center of everything I do.
If it doesn’t come from real life, I don’t write it.
